A Note from Jefferson Middle School PTO

Here’s a note for Jefferson Middle School families for the 2012/2013 school year…especially incoming 6th grade parents:

Please consider getting involved in the Jefferson PTO. Parent participation tends to drop off in middle school but the work and effort needed doesn’t. We are currently looking for a 6th grade parent representative for the PTO Board. If you are interested, please contact Jill Tomalin directly and ASAP at tjmiddleschool@gmail.com. If you are unsure if you can make it to PTO meetings next year, there are LOTS of other opportunities for involvement from one hour of your time to more. In whatever way makes sense for you: Get involved in the Jefferson school community!

Also, please join us at our last PTO meeting of the year on Wednesday, May 2 at 7 pm in the Jefferson LMC. And/or join us for a parent social hour at Dahmen’s Pizza immediately following the meeting (approximately 8:30 pm). This is a great chance to socialize with other Jefferson parents in an informal and casual environment. Hope to see you Wednesday!

Kottke to be resurfaced

Just a heads up: Kottke is scheduled for resurfacing this year. The following PDF shows that it should last from May 28 – June 21. It doesn’t appear that storm/sewer work will be involved. Click for PDF from City of Madison

Annual Meeting April 18

The HVHA annual meeting will take place Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 6:30-8 PM at the West Side Madison Police Station. Two board members are up for re-election. To nominate a candidate for a board seat, please contact Doug Bray at president@highlandvillagemadison.com.

Did you know Highland Village Homeowner Association has a Facebook page? If you are on Facebook, please visit the HVHA page and “like” it. Status updates from the page will then show up on your News Feed.

HVHA also has a Google Group. If you join the group, then you will receive email announcements, including events and meetings affecting the neighborhood. The group is located here.
